BobGrey Dec 19, 2017 @ 1:25am. They are both very similar. ETS2 takes place in Europe with European trucks, has more trucks amd a larger map, but is generally of lower quality than ATS as the majority of it was made using older methods and assets. ATS takes place in America with American trucks.
Euro truck is bigger definitely, but American truck is very much nicer and detailed, 'alive'. I played ets2 for ages first but now moved on to ats and bought all the maps besides Utah and have enjoyed it far more. If you wanna get DLCs for ETS2, then you will definitely have a bigger map than ATS.

Re: Changing map scale. #2 by Max » 29 May 2016 20:46. there is no console command, but creating such type of mod is easy. just enter the editor, in map info screen is map scale. it is stored in *.mbd file when changes. this mbd file is enough to put in mod.

Simplified: both are essentially the same game with different environment, at the end of the day it essentially ends being about whether you like America better or Europe better. Semi-complete: There are some differences though that end affecting gameplay and immersion: the base game for ATS is less diverse, as it's mostly a desert environment
Get ProMods people, it's fuckin worth it. Although I think you need all the map DLC for ProMods to work properly though, sowait for steam sales I guess. ProMods cost 1EUR. [deleted] • 4 yr. ago.
